Pneumococcal Vaccinations

At present, pneumococcal vaccinations are not available at the Practice due to a national shortage of the vaccine.

Travel Vaccinationsglobal air travel

If you require any vaccinations relating to foreign travel you should collect a Travel Risk Assessment Form from reception at least 8 weeks before you travel.   Your immunisation information will be available at reception and an appointment may be necessary with the practice nurse.  Please allow 10 days from handing in your form before contacting the practice.

There is no charge for the assessment service and vaccines provided by the NHS are free.

However, not all travel vaccinations are available on the NHS and some travel vaccines are ordered on a private prescription. The cost of a private prescription for travel is £15.  In addition to the £15 fee there is a cost of £10 for administering each injection.  Pharmacies will also charge you for the cost of the vaccine, prices may vary from between Pharmacies so you are advised to shop around.
